Born and raised in Philadelphia (USA), Paul Williams became a national celebrity playing concerts with Dinah Washington, Nina Simone; Miles Davis and Sammy Davis, amongst others. He had his breakthrough with the smashing world hit “Me And Mrs. Jones”. Billy once said: “I knew that “Me And Mrs. Jones” would be a hit, even before it was released. It’s a song that everybody can relate to”. With this song Billy Paul won a Grammy Award for Best Male Rhythm and Blues Performance.
